  3. We use imap for everyone's mail access in our Laboratory. This includes
  4. faculty, staff and students. Our primary clients are MacMS, ximap, MailStrom,
  5. YesWay, and MailManager. YesWay is a commonlisp client.

  7. Our laboratory is the Knowledge System Laboratory. IMAP, MacMS, ximap, YesWay,
  8. and MailStrom are all products of our systems staff's, the Symbolic Systems
  9. Resource Group, efforts beginning around 1987 when Mark Crispin was a member of
  10. our staff, and led the effort to create IMAP.

  12. We have also introduced IMAP and its associated clients to other departments at
  13. Stanford, e.g., Lane Medical School Library Staff, the Department of
  14. Biochemistry, the Stanford Medical Group (Clincal Medicine), the Department of
  15. Medicine, and the Department of Neworking and Communication Systems.

  17. Our user's are extremely happy with this distributed mail environment, and we
  18. are working to create more advanced clients.
